NetLight Shelter is a compassionate shelter in Uganda dedicated to providing a safe and loving home for vulnerable children. Established with the mission of transforming lives, Nelish not only provide basic needs like food and clothing, but also a supporting environment for the children to grow in. Our vision is to see every child in our care to blossom into a responsible, compassionate adult, equipped with the skills to end the cycle of poverty and to create a brighter future for themselves and their community. Since Samaritan Development Organization (SADO) very first inception in 2011, our philosophy and ethos haven’t changed. Rather than working with the poorest and most vulnerable, we work with local communities to give people skills, education and training so that they can help themselves. We give people in need the initial means, knowledge and skills to encourage them to develop better lives and sustainable livelihoods through their own efforts. We use local knowledge and communities to carry out and monitor fieldwork and work in collaboration where we require specialist skills and experience. SADO focus on areas with extreme poverty, which is currently in Teso sub region of Uganda, but we are always looking at other local areas where there is need and where our organization can make impact. The organization is registered with local authorities of Government of Uganda and mandated to carry its work for the benefit of communities. It has a volunteer staff and a BOD.
